Mystic Mendesium Exquisite Perfume

Our Mystic Mendesium exquisite perfume is based on the Ancient Greek Mendesium perfume. The actual ‘Mendesian’ was named after the Egyptian Delta city of Mendes, and was one of the most famous Egyptian perfumes. This version was probably licenced to Greek perfumeries.

As with most of the ancient perfumes, Mendesium was also a healing potion and was often used in the treatment of sore muscles.

Myrrh has been considered incredibly valuable healing for its healing properties since ancient times and is best known beyond its spiritual applications for treating skin conditions, for oral health and respiratory conditions.

Emotionally and energetically, Cardamom Essential Oil has strong calming and grounding properties, promoting emotional equilibrium when diffused or used in direct palm inhalation. It exerts a fortifying influence on mental functioning, reducing drowsiness and improving concentration. Its exotic character is sensual and warming, making it a key component of aphrodisiac oil blends.

The use of Galbanum in traditional/herbal medicine and for incense goes back thousands of years when it was used in skincare and for health issues related to lack of energy and the respiratory system. The father of ancient medicine, Hippocrates, used it in many curative recipes. The Ancient Egyptians used Galbanum as incense and during the embalming process. Galbanum Essential Oil is often chosen to cleanse and protect the mind and spirit. It can provide emotional fortitude when one is overwhelmed or worried and usher in peace and comfort during trying moments. The herbaceous green, and slightly-sweet aroma of Galbanum Oil can also help soothe nervous tension and is ideal for personal meditation

The fragrant bark of Cinnamon, which is harvested twice a year, is one of the oldest recorded spices in history, and was in ancient times considered as valuable as gold.  It was also used in the funerary preparations and rites of embalming in Ancient Egypt.

Turpentine essential oil is made from the resin of certain pine trees and is used in some chest rubs, as we as in perfumes historically. Turpentine oil, when inhaled, may help reduce congestion. When used on the skin, turpentine oil may cause warmth and redness that can help relieve pain in the tissue underneath and can also be useful in relieving joint pain, nerve pain, toothaches and in treating some infections.

Cassia Essential Oil has wonderful aromatherapy applications and is known to be grounding and balancing, thus making it a useful oil for meditation. Cassia Bark Essential Oil can also be used to inspire sensual moods, as it has potent aphrodisiac properties.

Our Mystic Mendesium exquisite natural perfume comes in a 5 ml roller bottle with an obsidian crystal roller, convenient for travel as well as for men. Obsidian has properties of Protection, Grounding, Transformation which blend beautifully with the perfume’s essence.

Our Mystic Mendesium perfume will soon also be available in a mystical green and pink butterfly as well.
