From Sanskrit, kaya means “body” and kalpa means “transformation.” The belief is that kaya kalpa practices turn old cells into new ones, and remove all impurities and toxins, which cause physical degeneration. This exquisite perfume recipe is mentioned in the ancient Kalpa Sutra manuscript…a sacred text from India.

Emotionally and energetically, the warm, woodsy, earthy aroma of Sandalwood Essential Oil is widely used to enhance mood and is frequently used in meditation for its grounding effects. Sandalwood Oilhelps in creating a peaceful atmosphere, quieting the mind, and helping reduce nervous tension. It also enhances romantic moods with its soft, sensual, opening and centering spicy-warm fragrance.

Agarwood essential oil is extracted from the fungus-infected wood of the agarwood tree, commonly called the “wood of the gods”. The benefits of agarwood oil include its anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and ant-inflammatory effects. Agarwood oil also has the ability to relieve pain, calm nerves, and promote healthy sleep. It is also used as an antidepressant in some parts of the world. It is frequently used as a base when making natural perfume/cologne. Many also like to enjoy adding this calming oil to their meditation routine. Kasturi (Deer Musk) is the dried secretion from the preputial follicles of the male musk deer and possesses various pharmacological effects.  Musk has been used extensively in traditional Chinese as well as Ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years, and is used as a component of fragrances and as a fixative in perfumes. Studies suggest components of musk have anti-inflammatory, antihistaminic, and cardiovascular effects.  It does also have pheromone actions, of course, and is what would classify this perfume as an ‘animalic’ fragrance.  Natural musks often create the impression that the scent literally comes from your pores. Musks give perfumes sensuality and warmth.

INGREDIENTS: Essential oils of Sandalwood (Santalum album), Agarwood (Aquilaria Agallocha), Kasturi (deer musk) & Saffron (Crocus sativus) in a base of Organic Moringa (Moringa oleifera) & Castor (Ricinus communis) Oils.
