Emotionally and energetically, the warm, woodsy, earthy aroma of Sandalwood Essential Oil is widely used to enhance mood and is frequently used in meditation for its grounding effects. Sandalwood Oilhelps in creating a peaceful atmosphere, quieting the mind, and helping reduce nervous tension. It also enhances romantic moods with its soft, sensual, opening and centering spicy-warm fragrance.

Frankincense is commonly used in religious ceremonies around the world and is employed in the practice of meditation and is characterized as having a blend of spicy and woodsy perfume. It is believed by a large number of individuals that it may assist in bringing about the purification of the mind, body, and soul.  Myrrh, used as a burial spice and in purification rites, was also a primary ingredient of the Holy Anointing Oil.

The characteristic scent of Patchouli oil can be described as woody, sweet, and spicy and is often used as a scent in perfumes, incense & cosmetics.

Patchouli oil has a variety of additional uses and medicinal properties, including anti-inflammatory effects, easing symptoms such as colds, headache and stomach upset, antidepressant effects, relieving stress and anxiety, relieving scalp and skin conditions, controlling appetite and has insecticide, antifungal, & antibacterial properties.  Patchouli is one of those scents that people either love or have a strong aversion to.  It has the delightful quality of changing with each person’s body chemistry to become a fragrance individual to the wearer.

Kasturi (Deer Musk) is the dried secretion from the preputial follicles of the male musk deer and possesses various pharmacological effects.  Musk has been used extensively in traditional Chinese as well as Ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years, and is used as a component of fragrances and as a fixative in perfumes. Studies suggest components of musk have anti-inflammatory, antihistaminic, and cardiovascular effects.  It does also have pheromone actions, of course, and is what would classify this perfume as an ‘animalic’ fragrance.  Natural musks often create the impression that the scent literally comes from your pores. Musks give perfumes sensuality and warmth.
